Question:

Explain four methods to giving the benefit of the doubt.

Answer:
  1. Avoid jumping to conclusions, and with an open mind, ask Your Spouse why they acted as they did, or is thinking the way they are.
  2. Assume there is something at least partly legitimate about Your Spouse's complaint.
  3. Assume there must be a reason for her thinking or actions that you don't fully understand yet.
  4. Hear Your Spouse out before explaining your point of view or defending yourself.
