LoveBridge's founder had built LegacyHeir.ai, an AI family-memory app, as a generated web prototype. It had a key-value blob data model, no native builds, no real mobile auth, no payments, unverifiable analytics, and no tests or release process. An App Store review rejection then blocked launch.
I came in as engineer to fix and ship it (February-August 2026). I built an Expo shell with a native bridge so Google and Apple sign-in run through native SDKs, plus camera, photo library and iPad support, with TestFlight builds from February. I migrated every edge-function module from the KV store to a 31-table Postgres schema with row-level security, and added family invites by email and SMS, four-tier sharing permissions and deep links.
Billing runs on Stripe for web and StoreKit 2 for iOS, with server-side verification of Apple's signed transactions. On the AI side I added a structured memory-extraction step with an allowlisted category validator to stop vault items being misfiled, covered by mocked unit tests and live-model integration tests. I also set up PostHog and GA4, Conventional Commits with release-please, a Vitest and Playwright suite of about 390 tests, and Semgrep in CI, and handled the App Store rejection remediation.
React 19, TypeScript, Vite, Expo 54 / React Native, Supabase (Auth, Postgres, Edge Functions), Hono, OpenAI (GPT-4o, Whisper, TTS, embeddings), Stripe, StoreKit 2, SendGrid, Twilio, PostHog, Vercel, Vitest, Playwright, GitHub Actions
Web app live at legacyheir.ai during a public beta, iOS and Android betas on TestFlight since February 2026, and release 1.2.0 cut in July 2026.
